As huge aviation geeks who love to spend all their time at airports, we decided to stay a night at the Rydges Sydney Airport Hotel, the night before we were to depart Sydney. This airport is known for being a plane spotter-friendly hotel, and has a great location right across from the International Terminal. Some of the rooms have a direct view of the airport gates and the runway.
One of the main reasons we chose to stay at the Bonnington Jumeirah Lakes Towers in Dubai was due to the availability of reasonably priced 4-person hotel rooms. We were travelling with two other friends, and didn’t want to stay in two separate rooms, so we had booked a family apartment for ~2200 AED for 2 nights.
There were several factors that made Royal Hotel Seoul an ideal choice for us to stay in Korea. Firstly, location. The hotel is situated right in Myeong-dong, a hugely popular and trendy area with tons of shopping and restaurants. We were planning to do a lot of shopping in Korea, so being able to drop off stuff at the hotel so easily was super convenient.
One of the highlights of our Singapore trip was staying at the Marina Bay Sands hotel. Ever since seeing amazing photos of the Infinity Pool overlooking the Singapore skyline, it’s been on my list of places to visit. I had booked a Premier City View Room for two nights for $1386 SGD (which is about the same in CAD). Premier City View Rooms are guaranteed to be 19th floor or higher, facing the harbor and the Singapore skyline.
