On our recent ANA business class experience from San Francisco to Tokyo (which you can read a detailed trip report here), we purchased two of these beautiful 1:400 ANA Star Wars R2D2 787-9 plane models through the Sky Shop! As a show of thanks to our readers and followers throughout the past year, we are giving one of them away!
One of the main reasons we chose to stay at the Bonnington Jumeirah Lakes Towers in Dubai was due to the availability of reasonably priced 4-person hotel rooms. We were travelling with two other friends, and didn’t want to stay in two separate rooms, so we had booked a family apartment for ~2200 AED for 2 nights.
As expected, our flight to Paris boarded from a remote gate at Abu Dhabi airport, as there are not enough gates to handle the amount of traffic they have. I was totally fine with this, because it meant I would get another amazing close-up view of the beautiful A340-600 aircraft we would be flying on.
We had our Etihad chaffeur scheduled to pick us up from the Bonnington Jumeirah at 9pm, and it was about a 45 minute drive to Abu Dhabi airport. We were dropped off directly in front of the Terminal 3 Etihad Business Class check in area, which is a completely separate area dedicated to business class passenger check-ins only.
There were several factors that made Royal Hotel Seoul an ideal choice for us to stay in Korea. Firstly, location. The hotel is situated right in Myeong-dong, a hugely popular and trendy area with tons of shopping and restaurants. We were planning to do a lot of shopping in Korea, so being able to drop off stuff at the hotel so easily was super convenient.
This was an especially fun trip for us as we were joined by two of our friends, Queenie and Fion. This trip was to be their first venture into premium cabin travel, which was really exciting, not only for them, but for Peterson and I as we showed them what was possible with the hard-earned miles they’ve collected.
